| 01/27/06 Almost there.. |
We had to change office space at the end of the year, and we finally (well almost) have our new office up and running. Things should be getting back to normal soon. Lots of t-shirts going out today, and lots of emails getting responded to soon.
New t-shirts are next on the list. Hope to have them sooner than later.

Our new Squirrel T-Shirts have arrived and have been added to the website. We now have both guys and girls shirts available in 4 sizes. These new shirts are printed on Apparel Agents T-Shirts and are Made in the USA. We are very excited about this change and look forward to eventually changing all our shirts over to this brand.

Been a Long Time |
| since our last update.. Things have been a bit convoluted recently as we try to change our inventory over to a new t-shirt manufacturer. Historically we have printed on a few different brands in an attempt to get the specific colors we wanted for each animal. This causes problems for presenting size and material information and is generally a pain. As of now it looks like we are going to start doing all our printing on t-shirts from Apparel Agents. We are excited about this as these shirts are made in the USA, sweat-shop free and really fit well. We will also be able to offer 'girly tees' now, a long time request from many of our shoppers. We should have The Squirrel T-shirt available in the new styles in the next week or two, and the rest of the animals over the next month or two. <4:29 PM> |

The Penguin T-Shirt is available in 2 color schemes. A black t-shirt with a white print, and a dark blue t-shirt with a light blue print. | We have added several t-shirt realted news feeds to the website. | We are now way behind with the new t-shirt designs than we though we would be. The good news however is that we are actually working on them. We have a number of new animal t-shirt designs that we are going to be adding, as well as at least one new line of t-shirts. I recently noticed that there are a few people that are 'hot linking' images from our site, but not providing a link. We don't mind if you hot-link our images, but it would be great if you could also provide a link so that people can find the site. This is probably why people are coming to our site after searching for 'Outline of a Squirrel', 'Outline of a Platypus', 'Outline of a Turtle', 'Outline of a Rhinoceros', 'Outline of a Rabbit' or 'Outline of a Walrus'. We even get some people looking for 't-shirt outline' or 't-shirt outlines'!

| We have been having trouble processing Amex Credit Cards. If you initially tried to make a payment with Amex, it would be rejected because if 'insuficient funds'. If you then tried to instead use a Visa or Mastercard, you would continue getting this error. We have removed Amex as an option. If you have experienced this problem while trying to purchase a t-shirt, you simply need to close your browser and reload the site. You can then complete the checkout and slect Visa or Mastercard. We want to apologize to anyone that has experienced this problem as we realize how frustrating it can be. <2:41 PM> |

PaperPlain.com may finaly be getting around to adding some new t-shirts. We are currently refining the list of new animals that will be added as t-shirts. We are looking over the suggest message board to glean to best suggestions (sometimes having to research the animal itself as we dont even know what they all are), as well as asking friends, etc. If you have any last minute t-shirt suggestions feel free to post your animal t-shirt suggestions, vegetarian t-shirts or vegan t-shirt suggestions on the share page.

I like t-shirts that are simple.
Not banal, but right to the point and easy to understand.
The Squirrel t-shirt by PaperPlain is a great example of a t-shirt done right. It isn't overloaded with complex artwork or dozens of colors, it's a brown (like fur) comfy (like fur) t-shirt, with a white outlined drawing of a squirrel on it. If you were walking down the street wearing this t-shirt, people might correctly assume that you like squirrels.
Although, I guess another way to look at this t-shirt would be to say that it is a t-shirt for people who hate squirrels (or for people who have sciurophobia). I suppose they would be imagining that this t-shirt is actually a beautifully rendered chalk outline of a squirrel who has met its demise for scurrying where it didn't belong.
You know those crime scene outlines that show the victim's last position? If the CSI team was on the case, I'm sure they could tell by the positioning of the front paws, and the direction of the tail, that something horrible happened to this poor squirrel. Well, as long as the head of the CSI team wasn't David Caruso (H) from CSI Miami. That guy couldn't tell you if it was daytime or nighttime, let alone do his job in a competent manner.
But I digress. See how complicated things can get?
It's better to keep things simple. Better that things are straight to the point.
Paperplain sells supercool animal t-shirts in a variety of styles and colors.
I wear my "The Squirrel" t-shirt on Wednesdays, just because it feels right.

We recently completed a photo shoot of our T-Shirts. Photographer Joantan Colon, clicked off 608 images in a few hours. Unfortunatley its taking us much longer to edit and sort these.
